Cycling

Bikes are a great way to discover the beautiful surroundings of Sotogrande. You can rent an e-bike and explore Sotogrande at your own pace or take a guided mountain tour for a more adventurous experience. Starting from the hotel, we strongly recommend two itineraries: Puerto de Sotogrande and Finca La Alcaidesa.

Our resort has been awarded with the Bike Territory badge, issued by the Royal Spanish Cycling Federation. This certificate represents a boost towards active and sustainable tourism, guaranteeing cycling lovers ‘bike-friendly’ facilities within our resort: transportation, maintenance and cleaning, as well as certified tracks to practice this sport.

There is a wide range of routes and guided tours to choose from:

Los Alcornocales Natural Park

Los Alcornocales Natural Park, with an area of over 14.000 hectares, offers endless adventure possibilities. Bike through the scenic Almoraima – often called the last Mediterranean jungle -, in a 37km tour, or simply enjoy the mountains and crossing water streams in a 63km circular tour at the heart of the park.

Strait of Gibraltar

The Strait of Gibraltar is not only perfect for water sports, but also offers a beautiful backdrop for bike routes. After all, it’s not everyday you get to practice your favourite sport, by the Mediterranean, with 3 countries in sight: Spain, Gibraltar and Morocco. A 45km tour that will surprise you with wonderful views.

Casares

The Crestellina mountain, located just a few kilometres from SO/ Sotogrande, is another great location for a 32km bike tour: along the Crestellina route you can admire the lush nature and pass by the viewpoint of vultures, from where you will certainly spot these interesting birds. Casares is also great for an after route walk, don’t miss the views from the top Castle that dates back to the 9th century.
